Peaks Island

We went on a ferry over to Peaks Island in Maine. It was a very short ride over to Peaks Island it is a small island inhabited with about 7000 during the summer and only around 600 residents brave the cold months of winter. The locals were very friendly and the island has a real laid back feeling to it. We went to lunch at The Peaks Island House Inn and restaurant, at first I didn't think it was going to be that great as we were not greeted for about ten minutes before we were seated at our table. The staff once we were seated was friendly and attentive. I ordered a cup of clam chowder and the BLT wrap, the chowder was a little thick but very tasty and wrap could have used some more bacon but on the whole was fresh and very tasty. I would eat there again the deck over looked the ocean with a scenic view. I would give this restaurant 4 forks.
