Little Italy Tour in San Francisco.

This tour was so much fun, we literally ate our way through Italy. We started the tour with Tom our guide he was a nice local guy who knew everyone.
We started at a coffee shop where we ordered our choice of beverage I chose a iced cappucino. It was the hottest day in San Francisco of course
I had heard it would be like
60 degrees so I had a sweater on. We then learned how coffee is roasted and what the best way to keep the beans fresh is.
Next we went to an Italian church that Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio had attended.
Than we tasted
the best focaccia bread I ever had, this bakery only sells fococcia bread and once it sells out it closes, usually around two.

Next we went to Choccolato
where they make chocolate everything from fudge to cookies. I was given four types of fudge to try my fav was the chocolate and caramel with sea salt.
We went to the bakery on the right and learned how sourdough bread is made the history of brick ovens and tried biscotti. We than went to Victoria's bakery wich is famous in San Francisco they have been there for like 130 years. They had the best chocolate eclairs I have ever had.

Next we went to an Italian restaurant where we sampled olive oils and how the taste changes in different areas of California. Another thing that was just like a wine tasting, every one had a unique flavor.

Then to finish our tour we tried pizza, possibly
the best pizza I have ever had. Yum, the sauce was made perfectly out of plum tomatoes, mozzarella imported from Italy, fresh herbs. I just can't say enough. The other pizza was mushroom and homemade sausage pizza. There was a total of four of us on the tour another couple from Australia Tony and Lin who we became friends with and toured the area later with. Of course in San Francisco we had to ride the trolley.
Well that is it for today's activities I will be going to Yosemite tomorrow, until then Caio!
