Pollo Agrodolce (Italian Sweet and Sour Chicken)
Sicily’s cuisine developed over the centuries in successive waves, with each new invading culture—Phoenician, Greek, Roman, Saracen (Arab), Norman (French), and Spanish—adding its own touches. One of the signature flavors of this multicultural cuisine is agrodolce (ah-groh-DOLE-chay)—Italian for sweet-and-sour.
This dish is a little time consuming but oh so delicious. The family gave this five forks. Find a recipe and make it or ask me for mine.
