Hearty Meatball Soup

This soup is so flavorful and hearty.  A little bit goes a long way.  It is like a meatball grinder meets soup all in one.  A real crowd pleaser.  I didn't take a picture of it but trust me it is so good.  Serve with a slice of bread or a crispy roll.
Ingredients:
2 eggs
1 cup soft bread crumbs
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

8 cups shredded cabbage
1 cup thinly sliced celery
1 cup thinly sliced carrots
8  onions, sliced
4 garlic cloves
2 teaspoons dried basil
3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
2 tablespoons soy sauce
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine the egg, bread crumbs, salt and pepper. Crumble meat over mixture and mix well. Shape into 1 in. balls.
2. In a soup kettle, bring broth to a boil. Carefully add the meatballs. Add the tomatoes, vegetables, garlic, red pepper flakes and basil. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
