The casserole was pretty good tasted a lot like casseroles I have tried in restaurants. I found it thickened as it cooled so if I made it again I would let it sit for 5 minutes or so before serving.
1 stick of butter
3/4 C flour
1 C of half and half
1/2 C of sliced mushrooms
1/2 C grated Parmesan cheese
10 oz can of Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 lb of peeled, deveined shrimp cut up in small chunks
Garlic powder
Buttered bread crumbs
Preheat oven to 350. In a sauce pan over medium heat, melt butter and stir in the flour. Slowly blend the half and half. Sauce will be thick. Do not brown. Add soup, mushrooms and cheese to sauce. Gently stir in shrimp. Add garlic powder to taste. Sprinkle bread crumbs and top with pats of butter. Serve with a crusty bread and salad.
