I tried sushi tonight for the first time!

Tonight my husband and I went out to eat with his family. I had a great time getting to know some of his family (mainly Rikki his cousin, who lives in California with Hubby Colin and Max her way too cute son.) Great people. Tim's Cousin Ryan and his family also was up for the holiday.
The restaraunt of choice was New Fortune in Greenfield. Who would have thought in a million years that I would try sushi. I didn't catch the name of it unfortunately, it was shrimp rolled up in cucumber. It was really good. The presentation of their sushi was unbelievable. Almost to pretty to eat, the sushi chefs take great pride in their presentation of the sushi as well as the freshness and flavors. There was a hand made dragon someone ordered, made out of sushi pieces, with a green dragon head made of wasabi, simply amazing. Everyone at the table was using chop sticks. I cannot use chop sticks so I used my fork... mistake, it just slid the sushi around my plate then made my shrimp/cucumber roll fall apart. I eventually just picked it up with my fingers and ate it. The shrimp flavor just seemed to pop, it tasted so fresh! I don't know if it was proper etiquette using my fingers but I really was dying to taste this, luckily nobody was looking. I hope...
Looking back at my new experience in sushi I wish I was a little more adventurous. I will definitely go back and try some different types of sushi and be more brave.
