We are having homemade meatloaf tonight it smells so good as it cooks i can't stand it. I can smell the onion and the garlic, mixed with the aromas of beef. Yum!!
Preheat oven 400 degrees
2 pd 85% or higher of ground beef
1 cup of bread crumbs
1 large onion
1/2 packet of onion soup mix
2 tablespoons of worcesthire sauce
2 cloves of minced garlic
salt and pepper to taste
1 egg
ketchup
mix all ingredients in a bowl except 1/2 the Worcestershire sauce and ketchup. mix and put in a loaf pan then in a small bowl mix the ketchup and remaining sauce and put on top of the meat loaf, sprinkle with pepper and cover with aluminum foil and bake 1 hr, remove foil and cook 15 more minutes or until the thermometer reaches 165 degrees. Let cool five minutes and enjoy.
